We went to Wesley’s and Taylor’s school conferences tonight and came home with two betta fish. The art teacher had been having her students observe and draw a variety of betta fish.  Now that their projects are completed, she gave them to the kindergarten teachers.  Wesley’s teacher forced, uh, I mean, gave us her last two fish.  I guess that works out all right since we lost Baxter a couple of weeks ago.  At least both of their conferences went well enough!  No major surprises and nothing out of the ordinary for a kindergartener and fifth grader!  Hmmm, I wonder what Jocelyn will end up with at her conference on Friday afternoon?

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Taylor named  his Spike (it’s a whitish-orange color) and Jocelyn named hers Rainbow (it’s bluey-green).  Jocelyn said she’ll buy Wesley his own fish.  (Say what?!  They came from HIS teacher!)
