. . . with no school for the kiddos and I and no work for Ken. We lost power briefly overnight, although I wouldn’t have known but for Taylor coming in at 1:50 am and telling us. Luckily, it came back on relatively quickly and since we were all in bed, nothing much became of it. It’s barely above freezing right now (32.5 degrees) and it’s raining. From what Ken has heard, it’s supposed to get worse later in the day.
In anticipation of the upcoming storm, I had brought home work to do. It’s only 9:30 am and I’ve already graded my writing assessments and posted sight word results. Next up is lesson planning and then Christmas present wrapping, if I can hide from the kids! I’d love to do some scrapbooking and maybe watch another Christmas movie of some sort. I still haven’t seen It’s a Wonderful Life this year or Elf! Hopefully everyone else is keeping warm, staying safe, and drinking lots of hot tea (or coffee, or hot chocolate!)
Hi Deb! Received your Christmas Card this week and loved reading it. You do such a great job with your newsletter and keeping me informed of your family. I’ve loved listening to your faith grow over the years and I was excited as I read about Jocelyn’s proclamation of faith as well! I just watched Elf last night for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I laughed out loud in serval places and thought it was such a nice Christmas movies. I just started reading several other blogs recently and the one I read the most is http://www.moneysavingmom.com I’m thinking about starting one of my own, but not sure I would do that much journaling. I really want a place to post pics and comments about my kids so my family could see. Hey – have a great week & Merry Christmas!
