Winter Weather Warning

Well, we were iced in today preventing us from going out of town to Grandmother Nima’s funeral.  It wasn’t just Wichita that got it but Keith and Amy in OK were without power and it even carried over to Arkansas, our final destination.  Looking at the weather map, we’re going to get slammed for the next 3 days.  Although school is still in session for tomorrow, the ice threat with accumulation could potentially allow us a weather day later in the week.  Only time will tell.  Give me snow any day over ice!  I bet Ken will get some cool ice pictures!

It’s All Shopped For!

I was joking with Ken earlier that I would much prefer to sit down at my computer and do all of my Christmas shopping.  I did a lot of it online this year and loved that for three days in a row, packages arrived at my door.  Unfortunately, some things were already sold out online so I had no choice but to brave the stores and the crowds in search of those hot items.  Transformers, anyone?  The boys are REALLY into Transformers this year and Taylor can’t stop bugging Ken and I for Guitar Hero III (isn’t that rated Teen?!).  Mom and Dad took the kids this Saturday afternoon and Ken and I went to the mall, Kohl’s and Target and other than stocking stuffers, we’re done with the shopping!  YIPPEEEEEE!  Now comes all of the wrapping. . .

This was not Taylor’s choice, but the only way he would get his hair frosted was a hair cut like Wesley’s. Wesley approached the chair with all smiles, whilst Taylor wouldn’t even look up to see the mirror! We’ve since bought the frosting stuff and when he’s finished his homework, will likely to be applying it.
