McDonald’s Update

Just got back from a few errands that yes, included McDonald’s for their new FREE iced coffee! Here in the Wichita market, the signs inside the stores say that it’s free EVERY Monday! Today I had the sugar-free vanilla and I’m not sure I liked it that much. That’s okay, maybe the sugar packed ones will be better! There’s still the hazelnut and other flavors to try!!

On another note, has anyone tried the Red Box movie rentals? We tried one today for tonight’s viewing – Epic Movie – and I got it for free because I had a coupon. If it’s any good, I’ve got another coupon and I’m sure we’ll be going out tomorrow anyway to return it! As long as it’s decent quality and viewable (that was our problem at other rental places – too many scratches!) it should be all right.

Mom and Me SUPER Sleepover

As a part of our summer activities, Jocelyn and I attended the Brownie Mom and Me SUPER Sleepover last night at Starwoods. Although I was a bit apprehensive at first, we had an absolute blast! After checking in, we headed to the first of 3 different activities starting with making matching bracelets. Then it was off for a hike, slapping at the humongous mosquitoes that kept landing on us, despite the bug repellent! Next up, Bingo — yielding us a travel mug. Of course it’s not camp without a campfire, singing songs and s’mores! A dancing party then a movie (Magic Emporium one won out over Freaky Friday) and the lights were out by 1:45 AM. Yikes- way past my bedtime! Our group opted to skip out on the breakfast the scouts were providing and headed to IHOP instead!

Free Krispy Kremes!

Today’s National Krispy Kreme day and we took advantage of it while Taylor was soccer camp! Wesley picked one with red, white, and blue sprinkles on it, Jocelyn picked a creme-filled chocolate donut, and I had a regular but hot-off-the-fresh rack glazed. Yum! A rare treat!

Movin’ On

One of our neighbor families moved to Las Vegas this past week. They moved in shortly about a year after we did but since they’re military, don’t hang around very long. Our kiddos had a lot of fun hanging out over the years. While the movers were helping them pack up, I had 7 kids at the pool (3 mine, 4 theirs). They had a lot of fun before they left! I can only imagine how old that must get, packing up after a few years. We wish them all the best in their location!
