I knew it was going to happen eventually but I was hoping it wouldn’t be now. It’s the end of the 1st quarter and I have mountains of stuff to do to get grade cards done.  But alas, I’m sick. The past couple of years I’ve done really well not getting sick. Constant vitamins are my friend but I’ve been slacking on them recently. Now I’m paying for it! I’ve had allergy problems and not being able to breathe since mid-August. Now 4 out of 5 of the 4th grade team is sick. I lost my voice yesterday and actually had to tell my students to partner read certain pages and answer the questions at the end of the chapter. I NEVER do that. Since my chest felt like it was going to cave in this morning, I opted not to go to work and went to the Doctor instead. I have a bad sinus infection that fortunately hasn’t moved too deeply into my chest yet. So, with antibiotics now on board and an inhaler to help with further congestion, I should be on my way to recovery real soon. Whew!
