I’ve been on a count down for spring break since winter break, partially because for some reason I’ve really struggled with my class of students this year and also because I’m so darn tired all of the time! This year I planned ahead and took Taylor, Jocelyn, and Wesley to Colorado along with my parents to enjoy some snow and get away from the chores of the house. I even planned for the younger two to take skiing lessons since they loved going down the hills in their cross country lessons AND Taylor and I to hit the mountain skiing and snowboarding. The weather was glorious which also meant that the snow was rapidly melting. We weren’t able to ice skate at all this year since the lake was thawing out. We managed to go tubing at the golf course, tubing at Adventure Point on Dercum Mountain, skiing at Mountain House and River Run, and shopping at the Silverthorne outlet shops. Taylor and I had some great bonding time while we were on the mountain too. I missed Ken and Buddy but I know they were enjoying their own personal break without the rest of us at home. Here are a few pics of our trip!

Our first day we went tubing at the Nordic Center. This was the first year that we didn’t have to help Wesley
and Jocelyn pull their tube up the hill!

The new gondolas in River Run are all glass and seat up to 8 people. Nice!

Tubing at the top of Dercum Mountain was a blast! The boys teamed up and even Mum went!

The magic carpet was a great way to get back up the mountain but it took so long! See Dad waving behind Mum?!

Taylor snowboarding. He’s a natural! We’re looking into doing more next year.

Mom and son bonding time. Cool.
