One positive thing about Taylor having to do community service for school is that it also forces our family to take a more active part. Our family participated in a city-wide event called LOVE Wichita on April 25th. Over 27 area churches pitched in together to do a variety of different projects in the name of Jesus. We were assigned to a local high school where we we worked outside painting, picking up trash, and putting out A LOT of mulch. It was extremely windy but fortunately the rain held off. The children took turns painting and picking up trash and then Taylor and Ken headed to shovel mulch. It certainly made us all feel better about ourselves at the end of our morning and we all enjoyed helping out in the community.

Both of the boys got a painting lesson from one of our group members. Ken and Jocelyn made a great team!

We got a snack sack that consisted of a bag of chips, a pack of gum, a cookie, and a HUGE apple!
Jocelyn posing in front of her orthodontist’s office this morning after having her new braces on. She was very excited! It was rather chilly this morning – around freezing – that’s why she’s all bundled up on an April morning!
