Bunnies, Burgers and Basketball

What a lovely surprise that Ken’s brother and his family were traveling to Kansas to play in a basketball tournament! We not only got to have them stay with us but we also got to see our nephew play. Double score!!

Our children get along so well with each other; they all pair off and just hang out or play for hours! Unfortunately the trip was extremely short but we’ll take anything. We hadn’t seen them since Thanksgiving in OKC!

One stop our out-of-town guests and family love to go is the Nifty Nut House. They were all decked out with Easter decorations and, of course, candy, and I couldn’t resist their photo ops as well as their dark chocolate salt caramel balls.

Next up, LUNCH! We had to travel about 45 minutes north to Hesston for the basketball tournament so we had to have some good nourishment (never mind the candy and other sweets we had just purchased!) so we headed to another favorite of ours, TJ’s Burger House. My favorite is their mushroom swiss burger although I prefer mine without the bun. Their fries are to die for! Yum! Yum!

The games in Hesston were wonderful with the Owasso Cyclones playing very well. They lost their first game by 2 points but won their second by an incredible amount of points. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see Konner and his teammates play and embarrass my children by cheering, apparently, a little too loudly 😉

Before we knew it, the game was over, Konner was going with the rest of his team back to Wichita where they had plans before their other games in the morning and the rest of the families were headed back to their respective homes. It was an incredibly short visit but a great way to kick off the weekend!
